Welcome to CareerXpress, an educational preparation application designed to help candidates prepare for government and competitive exams. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, protect, and use your information when you use our mobile application and related web platforms.
2. Information We Collect
To provide a functional and secure learning experience, we collect the following types of information:
- Account & Authentication Data: Your phone number, name, district, and target exam goals. We also collect Google email addresses if you select Google Sign-In as your authentication method.
- App Performance & Usage Metrics: Mock exam answers, correct/incorrect response counts, completion times, and overall preparation scores. This data is used to compile statewide leaderboards and calculate candidate percentile metrics.
- Device Identifiers: Hardware model and unique operating system device tokens. This is collected solely to enforce our security policy restricting active login sessions to one concurrent device per user.
3. In-App Subscriptions & Billing
Premium features inside CareerXpress are unlocked using Google Play Billing subscriptions. We integrate directly with the official Google Play Billing library. CareerXpress does not collect, process, or store financial credentials, credit card numbers, or banking details on our servers. All payment checkouts, confirmations, and recurring transactions are handled securely by Google Play.
4. Data Storage & Safety
Your candidate information and test records are securely hosted on Google Cloud Firebase (Firestore database). All connections are encrypted in transit using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) technology. We take industry-standard organizational and technical measures to protect your database entries against unauthorized access or modification.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share user personal information, scores, or device details with third-party advertising services or analytics brokers. Your performance statistics are only shared publicly within the app's statewide candidate leaderboards, using the candidate profile name you specify.
6. Deletion Requests & User Rights
You have the right to inspect, edit, or request the deletion of your account and prep history at any time. To request complete removal of your phone record, test scores, and profile details from our Firestore servers, please contact us at: support@careerxpress.co.in. Deletion requests are processed within 48 business hours.
7. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to match updates in Google Play policies. Continued usage of CareerXpress after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy terms.
